West Virginia State Police in Preston County are searching for the man who robbed the Family Dollar in Bruceton Mills at gunpoint Sunday night.

Witnesses told troopers the man entered the store around closing time, showed a gun to an employee and demanded cash. They said the man got away with cash from registers and a safe.

State Police told 12 News they are working with surveillance video from the store on Tuesday to determine the man's identity or learn more about the getaway vehicle. Witnesses reported the man may have driven away in a dark SUV.

State Police ask anyone with information to call them at (304) 329-1101.
