Valley Falls Foundation Receives Donation From Town of White Hall

Posted: Updated:

Valley Falls State Park said it is a great destination to visit in West Virginia.

The foundation was just approved last year by the IRS for a 501c3 status.  This allowed it to receive some additional funding for the state for some of the projects that the foundation is a part of.

The foundation is currently trying to raise money to build a new visitors center and gift shop for tourists to enjoy.

"This will be going towards a building, the site of the building, or perhaps the utilities to get into it.  A welcoming center, a gift shop.  We got several ideas that are in the works right now and the foundation is working extremely hard to get this to go," said Buddy Myers, from Valley Falls Foundation.

The town of White Hall wanted to help them get started and gave the foundation a check for $5,000.  The entire project will cost about $50,000.
