West Virginia Law Review Host Symposium To Talk About Precription Drug Abuse

Posted: Updated:

Each year the West Virginia Law Review hosts a symposium.

The symposium topic is usually not only a state but national issue.

The law students, faculty and speakers discussed prescription drug abuse.

Speakers discussed how the law currently struggles to maintain this issue and how it can be better.

Imad Matini, a WV Law Review Editor explained, "How big of an issue outside of West Virginia and how big of implications it has nationwide both in terms of our domestic policy and even our foreign policy. And two, what we are doing right now is not working. And we need to start having a discourse about, okay moving forward how can we resolve this."

West Virginia does have an issue with prescription drugs but the problem is bigger than the state.

Law students learned how to start involving the law to fix this problem.
