The West Virginia Wesleyan football team is certainly feeling the love, especially after the way the 2013 season ended.

The Bobcats finished by winning four out of their last five games.

That momentum has carried over into National Signing Day. West Virginia Wesleyan Head Football Coach George Shehl said he signed 14 kids on Signing Day. He has since signed three more, resulting in 17 total recruits.

Shehl said they have signed four players from the state of West Virginia so far. He adds that several local kids are currently mulling over their options, which includes the Bobcats.

Shehl is also hopeful that the school will be installing new field turf in the fall.

"There's plenty of good players in the state of West Virginia that can play in this conference. I'm a little bit partial to this state because I'm from here. I'm a West Virginia High School Football player myself. I think that it kind of gets overlooked. It gets overlooked by big schools and smaller schools in the conference. I want to get West Virginia players that understand the school and know the academic reputation that the school has and are hard working. West Virginia kids are hard working and are tough, and that's the kind of football we want to play here," Shehl said.
