CHARLESTON, WV -

Just announced as a special event of the Clay Center Presents Spring 2014 performance season, rock icon Melissa Etheridge will take the Clay Center stage at 7:30 p.m. on April 17 in Charleston.

Fans can sing along to her biggest hits and hear new music as she plays acoustic guitar, electric guitar, harmonica and piano at a stop on her "This is ME Solo" tour.

Bold, confessional lyrics and a solid pop-rock style define this all-American singer-songwriter who pushed musical boundaries in the early ‘90s with hits like "Come to My Window" and "I'm the Only One." Experience the same cutting-edge sound in tracks from her latest album, "4th Street Feeling," and her upcoming release, "This is ME."

Clay Center Presents Spring 2014 season ticket holders can buy tickets for Melissa Etheridge beginning Feb. 19 at 10 a.m., and Clay Center members and donors with performance benefits can purchase tickets Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. Feb. 25.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Feb. 26. Tickets are $45, $65, $75 and $89 and can be purchased online at www.theclaycenter.org, in person at the Clay Center box office or by phone at 304-561-3570.
