The Tygart Valley Drug and Violent Crimes unit arrested 6 people Thursday afternoon on meth charges.

Grafton Police Chief, Robert Beltner, said they found three meth labs during the investigation. They were located in three separate residences in Flemington, Aster Community, and Parkview.  None of the meth labs were active.

5 of the 6 people arrested were charged with possession of precursor with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

Those arrested include Jared Rawles, 25, and Stacy Russell, 40, both of Grafton. Steven Corder, 32, of Rosemont, Norman Costilow, 57, and Jesse Cleavenger, 29, both of Flemington were also arrested.

Officers said John Mayle III, 23, of Flemington was charged with operating a clandestine drug lab.

Police said they do not know if the 6 people knew eachother, but "usually in a drug trade there is some sort of association".

The investigation is ongoing and more arrest warrants will be obtained in the near future, according to police.

The Tygart Valley Drug and Violent Crimes unit made several arrests last month on similar charges.

The Tygart Valley Drug and Violent Crimes unit is made up of members of the Grafton Police Department, Taylor County Sheriff's Department, and Taylor County Prosecuting Attorney John Bord.
