MORGANTOWN -

The Children's History Museum continued to celebrate National Children's Dental Hygiene Month Saturday.

Employees hosted a 'Healthy Teeth' event.

Kids and parents could learn information about keeping their smiles shiny and white. There were even experiments to show what bad hygiene could do to a child's teeth.

"The one experiment we talk about is how when you're drinking pop a lot, or if you're drinking juice, versus water, how it can eat away at your teeth if you don't brush them correctly," said Susan Grant, museum employee. "Actually our experiment had Alka-Seltzer, which is calcium, just like our teeth, our upper ten teeth. We put one in vinegar, which is acidic, and one in water. It shows kids what happens if you're not going to brush your teeth."

The event was free of charge for children and adults.
