UPDATE: Single-Vehicle Accident Sends 2 To Hospital

Posted: Updated:

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department is continuing to investigate a single-vehicle accident that sent two men to the hospital Tuesday morning.

Taylor County Sheriff Terring Skinner said two men in a white Toyota 4Runner, ages 65 and 74, crashed into a tree just after 12:30 a.m. on Hunt Farm Road.

The men called 911 for help but didn't know where they were located. They misled emergency personnel to their destination, according to Sheriff Skinner.

Sheriff Skinner said it took nearly three hours to find the men. One of them fell down a hill when he stepped out of the car.

Both men were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for exposure to the cold and minimal injuries.

The cause of the accident is unknown, but Sheriff Skinner said he doesn't believe it is weather related.

Names are not being released at this time.
