West Virginia Aviation Hall of Fame and Museum to Be Located at the North Central West Virginia Airport

BRIDGEPORT -

The first ever West Virginia Aviation Hall of Fame will be located in Bridgeport at the North Central West Virginia Airport soon.

The airport was chosen out of many that applied, and now the museum will be featured throughout the terminal.

Benedum Airport Authority Director Ron Watson said this will hopefully make North Central West Virginia a destination for many.

"That just adds one more reason why Harrison County is a destination point. Basically we will use the whole airport, all the floors for the museum and probably also the outside. I could see the airfield filled with airplanes and that sort of stuff," said Watson.

Watson said the planning for the new museum will begin soon.

The North Central West Virginia Airport is making more changes in addition to the hall of fame: the airport is also looking to get a liquor license for the Snack Shack, and hopes to add flights to new destinations.
