Attorney Christopher D. Petersen has joined the Martinsburg office of the Bowles Rice law firm. He will work in the areas of commercial, real estate and tax law.

Petersen earned his law degree from the University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2012. He earned his bachelor of science degree in business administration, cum laude, from Shepherd University in 2008.

Prior to joining Bowles Rice, Petersen worked in private practice in Martinsburg, where he assisted with evaluating real estate titles and preparing transactional documents. 

He also represented public and private entities in land use and government contracting matters, and he reviewed and drafted real estate contracts, leases and title insurance policies.

Bowles Rice has 140 attorneys in Martinsburg and seven other offices in the region, including in Charleston, Morgantown, Moundsville and Parkersburg in West Virginia as well as in Southpointe, Pa., Lexington, Ky. and Winchester, Va.
