Dennis Jarvis II has joined the Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing as a business development specialist.

Jarvis joined RCBI in January. Previously, he was director of the Upper Kanawha Valley Economic Development Corp. in Montgomery and an economic development specialist with the Marshall University Center for Environmental, Geotechnical and Applied Sciences.

Based at the RCBI Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center in Huntington, he will have statewide industrial recruitment and retention responsibilities.

A West Virginia native, Jarvis earned a master of arts degree in political science from Marshall University in 1997 and a bachelor of arts degree in history from Bluefield State College in 1995. He has earned professional development and affiliations from a number of organizations, including the International Economic Development Council.
