The Ronald McDonald House Charities hosted its inaugural Chips for Children fundraiser at the Pines Country Club in Morgantown Friday night.

For $40 a person, attendees were able to play their hand at Poker, Blackjack, and Roulette for chances to win many prizes. Some of the prizes included WVU gear, gym memberships, and date night baskets.

Attendees started out with 1,000 chips and for $10 they could revive for another 1,000 chips to try their hand at all the table games.

Organizers said the process was simple for everyone to play and enjoy the table games.

"The chips at the end of play will convert into little raffle tickets, and we have a silent auction where they can drop those tickets into the different items they can try and win," said Katie Wertz, RHMC Development Director.

Ronald McDonald House representatives said that its important to have events like the Chips for children fundraiser because all the money raise help continue their services to many families, and help them educate the community that the house still needs there support.

The money raised will support the Ronald McDonald House in Morgantown in its mission of providing a home-away-from-home for families of critically ill children in Morgantown.
