West Virginia State Police have arrested a Fairmont man on a sexual assault charge in connection to an August 2013 incident in Randolph County.
State police said Eric Corder, 30, began text messaging with an 11-year-old girl in August 2013. The girl told state police that she met Corder through a juvenile friend and that she told Corder she was a juvenile, according to a criminal complaint. She made arrangements to meet Corder near her residence and that she was under the impression she was picking up a pizza from Corder, according to a criminal complaint filed by Cpl. K.A. Corley. The girl told state police that she got into Corder's vehicle, he forced himself on her, and raped her.
Corder is charged with first degree sexual assault and is being held in North Central Regional Jail on $200,000 bail.
