Eastwood Elementary School in Monongalia County continues to be rewarded for its "green" efforts.

The West Virginia Department of Education gave the School the Maple Leaf Award because of its sustainable practices and teachings.

Students are even selling rainbow loom bracelets for a program that turns recycled materials into items for under-privileged kids.

School leaders said it's all apart of the schools greater message.

"Our motto is to grow healthy kids in a healthy world. We're inside the building helping our kids be healthy, whether it's academically, or physically, mentally or emotionally, but we also want to understand that our world needs to be healthy," said Principal DeAnn Hartshorn.

The West Virginia Department of Education also awarded Cameron Middle-High School in Marshall County with the Black Bear Award.
