MVA Health Centers Help Public Understand Affordable Care Act

Posted: Updated:

A local organization is doing its part to help area residents understand ObamaCare.

The Monongahela Valley Association of Health Centers has established a "Health Insurance Marketplace" to answer the public's questions regarding the Affordable Care Act.

With initial phasing for open enrollment closing in just a few weeks, people have until the end of the month to get the help they need.

"If you want to get either on the MediCaid expansion or enroll through the federal marketplace, that needs to be done by March 31. Anyone who might not have a computer, people who might get on the online program, and have a question that they don't know how to answer, that's what we're here for," said Dylan Jones, a certified application counselor.

The MVA has several clinics and events scheduled for this month. For more information, visit this link to its calendar.
