PLEASANT VALLEY -

Improvements are on the way for Tulip Lane, a heavily traveled road in Marion County.

The Marion County Development Authority announced at Wednesday's County Commission meeting that the grant application for $150 thousand has been approved by the West Virginia Development Office.

The money will go toward the Industrial Park Access Road Fund.

The road gives access to three businesses, including Heston Farm Winery, Shuck Construction & Steel Fabrications LLC, and Soles Electric Co.

The money will go toward expanding the road to make it safer for passing vehicles and fixing the runoff problem.

The application now has to be approved by the Department of Transportation. Once it is approved, it will give them $400,000 for the Industrial Park Access Road Fund.
