ORIGINAL STORY

Several fire departments from Harrison, Marion, and Taylor County responded to a fire on Saturday.

It happened at the intersection of Turkey Run Road and Route 250 in Taylor County around 9:45 p.m.

Boothsville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Raymond Knight said the fire was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene.

Knight said one man was home at the time and was taken to Grafton City Hospital by Taylor County EMS with non life-threatening injuries.

Two animals who lived in the residence are unaccounted for, according to Knight.

The house has been ruled a total loss, and other personal items, such as cars, ATVs, and more, were also destroyed.

A cause hasn't been determined, but the State Fire Marshal has been called in to further investigate.

Fire departments from Bridgeport, Grafton, Flemington, and Shinnston assisted Boothsville and other Marion County apparatus.
