Supporters Raising Money For Pam's Playground

JANE LEW -

One week ago, the Lewis County community lost one of its most beloved figures; Pam Snyder, a third-grade teacher at Roanoke Elementary School.

Snyder died from cancer.

To honor her memory supporters raised funds for "Pam's Playground."

Friends and family danced the night away at the Plantation Inn in Jane Lew on Saturday.

Some of Snyder's students were there to release balloons in her memory.

"They're gonna play fast songs all night long. But if someone wants a slow song, they'll have to pay a dollar because Pam didn't like slow songs. She had to be moving and dancing and shaking, and that's what she did," said Renee Kiser and Bobbie Westfall.

Organizers have another fundraiser for the playground in the works.

A craft show and bake sale is set for Saturday, March 22 at the Jane Lew Town Park Building.
