Supreme Court to judge WVU moot court competition March 26 in Charleston

Posted: Updated:

Forced to reschedule because of inclement weather, the Supreme Court will judge the West Virginia University School of Law's annual George C. Baker Cup moot court competition Wednesday, March 26, in Charleston.

The court was originally scheduled to hear four cases at WVU on March 4, but had to cancel because of road conditions.

All cases, as well as the moot court competition, will now be handled in the Supreme Court Chamber.

The moot court competition will begin at 2 p.m. March 26.

The Court will hear Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and Greg Chandler's Frame & Body, LLC v. Patrick Morrisey, Attorney General, No. 13-0195, and Dean Lowe and Martha Lowe v. Joseph C. Richards and Joyce Richards, No. 13-0234, on Tuesday, March 25, in addition to cases previously scheduled for that day.

John N. Kenney v. Samuel C. Liston, No. 13-0427, and Ron King, Fire Marshal/Code Official; David Casebolt, Mayor; and the City of Nitro v. Richard Nease and Lorinda Nease, No. 13-0603 were added to the cases originally on the docket for March 26.
