The Marion County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Barrackville man on a drug charge.
Deputies charged Devin J. Satterfield, 23, with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver after an investigation by the Barrackville Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff's Department into the illegal sale of marijuana. Barrackville Police setup surveillance at Satterfield's house and noticed a transaction between Satterfield and another person, according to a criminal complaint. When that person left Satterfield's house, a traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle and deputies recovered 9 grams of marijuana. At that time, officers and deputies made contact with Satterfield at his house and located one ounce of marijuana and cash, according to a criminal complaint. Satterfield told police he had been selling approximately one to two ounces of marijuana week for the past couple of months.
Satterfield is being held in North Central Regional Jail on $20,000 bail.
