If you don't know your Hazel Dickens from your Little Jimmy Dickens, the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame has an interactive study guide to help you brush up.

Biographies, photos, video and musical clips from 200 artists and bands with Mountain State ties now are available at in an interactive map through funding from the West Virginia Humanities Council.

The interactive map has been the main feature of the hall of fame's traveling museum package, which has made an appearance at more than 350 schools for more than 13,000 students throughout the state.

"While people all over the world are familiar with the refrain, ‘Almost heaven, West Virginia,' many West Virginians have no idea of the breadth and the variety of music that was nurtured by the state's picturesque hills and valleys," said West Virginia Music Hall of Fame Director Michael Lipton. "The interactive map will take you on a fascinating musical tour of the state."
