In a brief phone conversation with 12Sports Saturday, Tom Yester said it's time to take a break. The longtime head coach of Morgantown Boys Basketball will retire after more than 40 years of coaching.
Despite losing a lot of talent from last year's team, like WVU's Nathan Adrian, Yester was able to steer the Mohigans back to Charleston this year where they fell to top seeded Washington on Wednesday.
Across town at University High, sources say that Paul Ingle is resigning from Hawks basketball. Ingle has coached UHS for the past 5 seasons.
Both decisions are expected to be made final at Tuesday's Monongalia County Board of Education regularly scheduled meeting.
Thursday, Tucker County longtime head coach Tom Gutshall announced his retirement after falling to Notre Dame in opening round action of the state tournament. Gutshall tallied more than 500 wins in his tenure at Tucker County.
