2 Student Housing Projects at WVU Will Be Completed Before Fall Semester

Two student housing projects that began a year ago at West Virginia University are on time to finish.

Despite the bitter winter the College Park and University Place projects are expected to be complete before students return this fall semester.

The projects will add more than 1400 beds. Workers are picking up extra shifts to make up for the 7-10 days missed due to weather.

"Workers just can't work in the bitter cold so some of those really cold days they had to stop work or not have a shift that day. But between snow mud and bitter cold it was a challenging winter," explained Randy Hudak, from WVU Facilities and Services.

The units will provide more than just traditional housing, but apartments too.
