The spring conference for West Virginia Main Street and ON TRAC will take place April 15-17 in Wheeling with a focus on writing successful grant applications and development funding.

The event will be co-hosted by Downtown Wheeling Inc. and Wheeling ON TRAC and is open to the public, local economic development representatives as well as Main Street and ON TRAC member communities. A networking dinner that evening will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the Capitol Music Hall, which has undergone several recent renovations.

A panel of grantors will discuss specific details they want to see from grant applicants as part of the April 16 training, and the April 17 workshop will be "mobile," with stops at Stone Center at Market Plaza and The Orrick Global Operations, two examples of successful redevelopment projects. Participants will be able to take a comprehensive look at the financial aspect of redevelopment from several perspectives, including that of developers, capital investors and tax credit programs as well as private, state and federal partnerships.

Call 304-957-2028 or visit wvmainstreet.org/springtraining for event details or to register.
