PARKERSBURG, WV -

West Virginia University at Parkersburg's instructional specialists Christopher Furr, Joseph Hunt and Jerry Rowley recently achieved the master trainer certification offered through the National Center for Construction Education and Research.

As part of the accreditation process, the NCCER offers the Instructor Certification Training Program which ensures a uniform and consistent delivery of training to all participants. After earning certification as Master Trainers through the NCCER's ICTP, Furr, Hunt and Rowley now are able to certify other craft instructors.

The NCCER is a not-for-profit education foundation. It was originally created to revolutionize training for the construction industry by developing industry-driven standardized training and credentialing for craft programs. Based in Alachua, Fla., the NCCER is affiliated with the University of Florida's M.E. Rinker Sr. School of Building Construction.
