Buckhannon-Upshur senior Phil Petrulak signed his National Letter of Intent on Friday morning. Petrulak chose to continue his college football career at the University of Charleston.
Petrulak starred on the Bucs offense and defense last season. He played both fullback and linebacker, but he said the Golden Eagles coaching staff want him to try a different position.
Petrulak admitted that the University of Charleston would like him to try tight end, among other positions. He said no matter where the Golden Eagles need him to play, he will work his hardest to help the team whichever way he can.
"It's going to be everything," Petrulak said. "It's going to be a challenge. I'm ready to make that next step. Nothing is going to be easy now. I may have drifted a little bit through high school. I mean, I've always took everything serious. But it's time to really step up my game because college is a serious matter."
