MORGANTOWN -

West Virginia University students had an opportunity to ask WVU President E. Gordon Gee questions at a live Ask Me Anything (AMA) event at the Mountainlair Tuesday, April 1.

The WVU Student Government Association (SGA) hosted the event. Students asked questions through social media, via both Twitter and Reddit, as well as in person.

Gee, who assumed full-time presidency on March 3, answered questions ranging from how to improve Morgantown's traffic issues, to WVU's academic reputation, to issues with the smoking ban on campus, as well as personal questions.

Gee, who was WVU's President from 1981-1985, also talked about the changes he's seen in Morgantown, from the culture, to the improvement of buildings. He also discussed the origins of his trademark bow ties.

WVU SGA said this was the first time they had attempted an AMA.
