MORGANTOWN -

The West Virginia University Children's Hospital held its 16th annual Kids Fair at the Morgantown Mall on Saturday.

The event's theme, "Be a Healthy Hero," encouraged children to learn about healthy lifestyle choices and incorporate them into a lifetime of good health.

Most of the nearly 50 vendors, in kid-friendly ways, taught children daily good health habits.

From using puppets to demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques, to displays of healthy food choices, as well as displays from the various WVU schools of health, children and their parents had many ways to learn healthy living.

Other displays taught kids the dangers of tobacco products, as well as how to take care of the environment.

Fitness was also emphasized, including a display by local martial artists.
