Waldo Hotel Preservation Society Hosts Pasta Dinner Fundraiser

CLARKSBURG -

The Waldo Hotel Preservation Society held a fundraiser on Sunday to help pay for repairs needed at the hotel.

The pasta dinner was held at Washington Square and featured Tim Gentilozzi's award winning sweet basil and baby carrot meat sauce.

The sauce took second place in 2013's West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival pasta cook-off.

The dinner featured pasta, salad, bread, and homemade dessert.

This is just one of many fundraisers the society hosts.

"Lately we've been doing events for the Waldo about every month. On St. Patrick's Day we had one, and we did an event with Ryan Cain and the Ables and we plan to do more events in the future. The next one will be on May 31st at the Vintage Theatre Company; it will be a murder mystery dinner. Those proceeds will go to help the Waldo," explained Gentilozzi.
