On Sunday, Black Bear Burritos in Evansdale hosted a fundraiser for a new playground at Brookhaven Elementary School.

Dozens of community members came out for the cause to enjoy live music and some of the restaurant's specialty items.

Jessy Coffman's husband is a co-owner of Black Bear. The couple's son is a student at Brookhaven, so they were happy to sponsor the event for a great cause.

"We are really dedicated to the Brookhaven School. We think it's a great school, it's one of the few little neighborhood schools we have left in the county. It's been a great crowd. Every table seems to be filled, so it's really generous for everyone that has come and support," said Coffman.

You can find out more about how to donate to the cause by calling the school at 304.291.9236. For more information on Brookhaven Elementary, visit its website.
