West Virginia State Police arrested two people on Interstate 68 near Bruceton Mills Monday night on drug charges.
Troopers asked Joseph Lee Sirota and Kelley Ann O'Donnell if there were drugs in the car during a traffic stop, when Sirota said they had a small bag of marijuana in a backpack, according to a criminal complaint. Troopers found the marijuana, along with 94 grams of mushrooms, an unknown brown substance, and two pipes.
Sirota told state police that he picked up O'Donnell in Pennsylvania and she brought the drugs. He said the agreement was that he would give her a ride in exchange for drugs.
Both Sirota and O'Donnell are each being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail on $75,000 bail.
