A Steubenville, Ohio man will spend the next two decades in federal prison for his role in the distribution of cocaine in the Northern District of West Virginia and in Jefferson County, Ohio, U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II said.

Michael T. McGee, 43, was sentenced to 262 months in prison by U.S. District Court Judge Frederick P. Stamp Jr. McGee was convicted in January of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute cocaine, felony charges, after a three-day jury trial.

McGee, who has prior convictions for armed robbery and cocaine and marijuana trafficking, was found by the jury to have conspired with co-defendant Ronald Snider and others to distribute cocaine from November 2012 to June 2013.

In announcing the sentence, Ihlenfeld praised the work of the Jefferson County, Ohio, Drug Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Ihlenfeld also commended the efforts of Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert H. McWilliams Jr., who prosecuted the case.
