    One popular organization in Wheeling has changed their name. "Downtown Wheeling Inc.," will now be known as "Reinvent Wheeling." The group hosts many events in the Wheeling area such as the Wine and Jazz Festival, the Big Ideas Speaker series, and First Fridays. According to Reinvent Wheeling member Jake Dougherty, the name change is intended to reflect the organizations efforts to revitalize the downtown area. Several West Virginia businesses were recognized April 11 by the U.S. Small Business Administration as part of its West Virginia Small Business Week awards.

Both SBA mid-Atlantic Regional Administrator Natalie Olson-Urtecho and WV District Director Judy McCauley expressed their pleasure in announcing the awards, which are as follows:

  • Exporter of the Year: Chad Harlan Remp, Wheeling Truck Center, Wheeling
