Monongah Man Plans to Run in the Boston Marathon

The one year anniversary of the Boston bombings is quickly approaching.  The impact of that tragic day stretched far beyond the Boston city limits.

One Monongah man, Jeremy Pevahouse, has been training all year so he could get a chance to run in the marathon this year, to show the city his love and support.

"I've never qualified before and after the events of last year the whole running community just wanted to come out and show their support.  They have actually increased the field size this year to 36,000, which is about 9,000 more than any other year," said Pevahouse.

The 2014 Boston Marathon will be held on Monday, April 21.  Patriots' Day In Massachusetts.  Stay with 12 News to see how Jeremy does in the race.
