WOOD COUNTY, WV -

A Wisconsin group called Freedom From Religion Foundation  has made a complaint to Wood County, WV Schools in connection to the Parkersburg South wrestling team's shirts.

The shirts have the Bible verse "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me" printed on them.  The verse is from Philippians 4:13.

The county superintendent, Dr. James Patrick Law, says this is the only complaint they have had about the shirts.

The Wood County School Board has asked the team to stop wearing the shirts until their legal team can "look into it."

Students at the school say the verse has a long tradition at the school and is painted above the wrestling room door in addition to being printed on the shirts.

Students tell 13 News they don't have a problem with the shirts as long as no one is forced to wear them and as long as no one at the school is offended by the bible verse.  However, Dr. Law says these shirts are a problem if they violate the U.S. Constitution.
