Boy Flown to Hospital After Dirt Bike Crash in Taylor County

TAYLOR COUNTY - A boy has been flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital after a dirt bike crash in Taylor County.

It happened just after 8 p.m. near the intersection of Corbin Branch and Smith Road.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department said a man and his son were riding dirt bikes on Smith Road when the boy hit gravel, went off the road and into a ditch. Deputies said he suffered severe head and neck injuries.

His father was uninjured.

HealthNet landed at the scene and flew the boy to Ruby Memorial Hospital. No word on his name or condition at this time.

The Boothsville Fire Department, Taylor County EMS, and state police were also on scene.
