State Fire Marshal Investigating Suspicious Flemington Fire

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a suspicious fire in Flemington.

Firefighters responded to the house fire just before 11 a.m. Monday.  All of the residents were at a doctor's office when the fire started in the kitchen of the house.  Witnesses said Zoey the dog was also able to safely escape the house.  The fire is believed to be suspicious.  The house received substantial damage from fire, smoke, and water.  

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene to obtain statements from witnesses.

Fire departments from Flemington, Bridgeport, and Grafton responded to the scene along with Flemington EMS.
