West Liberty University Unveils 'Black and Gold' Plan
WEST LIBERTY -
West Liberty University on Monday revealed its "Black and Gold Opportunity Plan," a program aimed at offering affordability and access to under-served students - which includes first-generation college students, older students, working adults, veterans and transfer students - in earning a college degree.
The school acknowledged that under-served students are especially susceptible to factors such as the rising price of college and stagnating incomes that affect the affordability of college.
As part of the plan, WLU's admission department will provide guidance through what can be an overwhelming process to these students and offer personal help to see that their questions are answered. The plan includes a variety of options depending upon a student's circumstances.
