The wins, which extended the Senators win-streak to five-straight matches, improved the team to a perfect 4-0 in conference and 10-2 overall. With the final regular season G-MAC match between Cedarville (2-2) and Central State (0-4), D&E officially clinched the regular-season and conference crown. With Men's Tennis entering its first season as a G-MAC sport, and Davis & Elkins taking part in its first athletic year as a member of the G-MAC, the Senators Men's Tennis Championship captured its second conference title of the season as the women's soccer team won the championship in the fall. For Senator Head Coach Otis Cutshaw, the title marks his first in his fifth year at D&E. Davis and Elkins was led this season by Charles Brunel and Vincent Hamon. In the two meetings with Cedarville, each posted wins at #1 singles and #2 singles. Brunel teamed with Simon Meriau to secure both #1 doubles wins against Cedarville and all four in G-MAC play, while Harmon worked with Judd Thomas to take three wins at #2 doubles in the G-MAC. On the season, Brunel is 11-1 overall; 3-1 at #1 singles, and 8-0 in the #2 position. Hamon is 11-1 as well, 7-1 at the #1 spot and 4-0 at #2 singles. In conference play, the Senators combined to go 21-3 overall in singles action, with all three losses coming against Cedarville in the team's 7-2 and 8-1 win. In doubles play, D&E went a perfect 12-0 in the four matches.
