Monongalia County Considers Adding Water Features to County Parks

Posted: Updated:

A Monongalia County park may be getting a water feature.

Monongalia County is looking at getting a water-pad for Mason Dixon park. It's a flat water feature the shoots water from the ground.

County officials said they’re trying to put a water feature in each of the county's three parks.

“The parks belong to the tax payers, all the tax payers and all the citizens in Monongalia County. So we're trying to advance them so there are more recreational opportunities for everyone in the community,” said Eldon Callen, of the Monongalia County Commission.

The county said the water pad would be substantially cheaper than building a pool.
