UPPERGLADE -
State police in Webster County have arrested three people on drug charges after finding methamphetamine precursors in an Upperglade residence.

Trooper Blake said he and other authorities went to the house on Pleasant Ridge Road after receiving multiple tips about drug activity.

Blake said upon arriving at the house, he spotted a bottle inside that contained a white powder, conducive to what is used in meth labs. Blake said the people inside were slow to answer the door, and one person jumped out the window.

Once troopers were inside, they found meth paraphernalia, such as coffee filters, used lithium batteries, a hair dryer, aluminum foil, and more bottles and baggies containing a white substance, on the kitchen counter.

Troopers arrested Lawrence Chambers, Terrence Hamer, and Rebecca Williams and charged them with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab, possession of meth precursors, and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Chambers later told authorities that he and Hamer drove to Williams' residence to make the meth. Blake said Hamer had purchased Sudafed the day before.

Chambers, Hamer, and Williams are all in the Central Regional Jail with bail set at $300,000.
