WEBSTER SPRINGS -
State police have arrested six people after five methamphetamine labs were discovered at a mobile home in Webster County.

Around 11 p.m. Friday, state troopers and Child Protective Services went to a residence in Webster Springs to investigate reports of drug activity.

As soon as authorities arrived, Trooper Blake said the people inside began throwing drug paraphernalia, including Liquid Fire, out the window. He said he could smell a "very strong chemical odor" outside the residence.

Authorities found five "shake & bake" labs on the property that were recently active. Blake said two of the labs were outside and three were inside, one of which was in a child's bedroom. The child was asleep when authorities arrived.

Authorities also found meth precursors, including drain cleaner, coffee filters, and lithium batteries.

They arrested Jonathon McCartney, 32, Stephania Fetty, 33, Leslie Claypool, 34, Kayla Cutlip, 28, Nathan Deal, 25, and Bobbie Cox, 30, on charges of operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab, possession of meth precursors, and conspiracy to commit a felony.

McCartney and Fetty, who lived in the home, are also facing charges of child neglect.

All six are in the Central Regional Jail. Bail has not been set.
