West Virginia State Police have arrested a Weston man and accused him of impregnating a 15-year-old girl.
Joshua Lee Lockhart, 22, is charged with eight counts of third degree sexual assault after state police received information from the Department of Health and Human Resources that he had been dating a 15-year-old girl for about 6 months and had gotten her pregnant, according to a criminal complaint filed by West Virginia State Police Trooper Z.T. Cooper.
State police also arrested Amy Marie Spinks, 38, of Weston, who said she was aware that her daughter and Lockhart were sexually active. The girl told state police that she told Spinks she was sexually active and her mother told her to wear protection. Spinks is charged with child neglect creating risk of injury.
Lockhart is being held in Central Regional Jail with bail set at $200,000 and Spinks is being held in Central Regional Jail on $50,000 bail.
