Students and other community members were able donate items that are in good and usable condition for other to look over an purchase.

These events are open to the community and college students in particular who are looking to furnish apartments in the fall.

Students had the chance to choose from mattresses, kitchen appliances, electronics, and bed linens to help get ready for the fall semester.

There is also clothing items such as shoes, jeans, t-shirts, and other items available to be purchased and donated.

Not only does this event provide a convenient and easy way for students to find high priced items, but it also helps the environment as well.

"We keep almost 27 tons of material out of the landfills every spring by holding this sale and it gives these items second use while raising money for a good cause," said West Virginia University Conservation Specialist Traci Knabenshue.
