UPDATE: 1 Person Taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital After Crash in Marion County

The Marion County Sheriff's Department said one man was taken to the hospital Wednesday after crashing his dirt bike in Fairmont.

The crash happened just after 5:30 a.m. on Bunners Ridge Road.

Deputies said the man was not wearing a helmet when he drove off the road and hit a road barrier.

The man was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital with minor head injuries.

Marion County deputies said alcohol could be a factor in the cause of the accident.

Marion County 911 reported a single-vehicle crash that sent at least one person to the hospital Wednesday morning.

It happened just before 5:30 a.m. on Bunners Ridge Road in Fairmont.

At least one person was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

The name and the extent of the person's injuries wasn't immediately available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff's Department.
