1 Killed After Motorcycle/Truck Collision in Ritchie County

West Virginia State Police identified the man who was killed in a vehicle crash Saturday morning in Ritchie County.

State police said Harry E Myer Jr., 48, was traveling east on Route 50 on his Kawasaki motorcycle and was struck by Robert Paul Jackson, 60, who was driving a Ford F-350 truck, when he pulled out in front of Myer.

Myer t-boned the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.  State police said charges could be filed against Jackson.

One person is dead after a vehicle collision in Ritchie County on Saturday morning.

Central Communications said it happened around 11:30 a.m. on Route 50.

The collision involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck, according to 911 officials, who also confirmed a medical examiner was called to the scene.

State police are investigating. The victim's name has not been released at this time.
