The many activities that happen at Gold Crest Care Center during the summer make it a wonderful facility to live in that is both warm and inviting.

NEW YORK, June 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Gold Crest Care Center is proud to announce the return of its many wonderful recreation activities that help residents welcome that warm summer weather in style. Gold Crest Care Center believes that it's important to look forward to summer recreation, especially after a long and chilly winter like that of the 2013/2014 season. Because of this, the Bronx nursing home is putting together a large number of different activities that will help reduce depression, anxiety, stress and more for everyone involved.

To help all residents of Gold Crest Care Center enjoy those warm summer days and nights as much as possible, the staff will be organizing a large number of different barbecues and cook outs that will take place on the gorgeous outdoor patio. All residents will be able to enjoy their favorite BBQ dishes and sit back, relax and take in all that Mother Nature has to offer. Additional summer activities include a number of different visits that will be organized to local attractions, as well as arts and crafts activities, cultural events, live entertainment, candle light dinners and more.

"We feel it's important to keep those staying with us engaged and happy. After all, a happy mind is a healthy mind," says Mark Salamon, director of the Bronx nursing home. "There will also be parties, special events and other holiday celebrations to help bring in special occasions that happen throughout the summer, especially when it comes to the 4th of July."
