Live trending updates from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. ET
CHICAGO and NEW YORK, July 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, 120 Sports announced that a new two-hour block of live programming will debut at 8 a.m. ET. 120 Morning Run will be co-hosted Monday through Friday from 8-10 a.m. ET by Laurence Holmes and Dylan McGorty and will serve as a preview for the day to come, as well as provide a round-up of the previous night's most important topics and events. Launched last week, the 120 Sports app offers seven-day-a-week live broadcast programming and on-demand content in a newly conceptualized two-minute format.
"After an exciting launch week, we're pleased to introduce an additional block of original programming that provides an ideal way to catch-up on last night's big sports moments and follow the latest developments of ongoing stories," said Jason Coyle, president of 120 Sports. "As 120 Sports continues to grow, our goal is to continue to add to our current line-up of live sports conversation."
In addition to the new two-hour live morning block, 120 Sports will provide incremental live updates on trending topics between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. prior to the start of the live evening show.
Joining the 120 Sports talent team as co-host of the 120 Morning Run program is Laurence Holmes. Holmes currently hosts his own night time talk show for 670 The Score and serves as a sports reporter and anchor for NBC5 Chicago. Over the past 16 years, Holmes has excelled as an anchor, beat reporter, host and producer for a variety of sports shows and will bring his passion and extensive sports knowledge to 120 Sports.
Dylan McGorty is already a familiar face as a co-host on the 120 Sports evening program. A sports fanatic and improv actor, McGorty also co-hosts a weekend show on 87.7 FM The Game in Chicago alongside fellow 120 Sports personality Tim Doyle. McGorty's upbeat personality and enthusiasm for all things sports provides the perfect touch to the morning hours.
Also joining the 120 Sports talent team is NFL insider Eric Edholm. Edholm, a writer for Yahoo Sports Shutdown Corner, will provide expert analysis on the NFL and Fantasy Football for the 120 Morning Run.
