UPDATE: Charges Officially Dropped Against Two Indicted by Grand Jury Investigating Steubenville Rape Case

STEUBENVILLE - On Tuesday, it was announced that charges were officially dismissed against Lynett Gorman and Seth Fluharty, two people who had been indicted by the grand jury investigating the Steubenville rape case.

The two had previously entered agreements that allowed their charges to be dismissed if they successfully met conditions including community service and speaking to other teachers about the importance of recognizing and reporting child abuse.

Gorman is the West Elementary principal was originally indicted on charges of failing to report child abuse or neglect after allegedly receiving information about a party in April of 2012, where the rape of a teenage girl took place and went unreported until September 2012.

Gorman told the court during a January 8 hearing that she would have acted differently if she could go back to April 2012.

Fluharty was a Steubenville High School wrestling coach who was indicted by the grand jury for failing to report child abuse or neglect.
