MORGANTOWN -

Yoga is an activity that most people think of doing indoors. The West Virginia University Botanic Garden took this popular exercise routine outdoors.

This is the first time that these classes have been offered at the botanic garden. Instructors said that holding the class outside brings a different dynamic to Yoga without having to be confined inside of a classroom or gym.

"There's just more freedom, there's more space in it. Just being able to experience the sounds, and the fresh air, and just the colors that are you know here in the garden especially," said Heather Garrison, instructor.

Garrison said that this class has a lot of options and there is something for everyone to enjoy. There has been a growing number of people participate each class so far this summer.

Anyone is invited out to join the class and there is no age limit to participate.

This was third class of the series, and Garrison hopes that the sessions will continue to gain popularity, so that they can team up with the WVU Botanic Garden and continue this series next summer.

The last class of this season will be held on August 9th.

All proceeds from the class are donated directly to the Botanic Garden.
